homecoming mural XC.jpg
I began my jaunt at Perlstein Hall, home to the Office of Undergraduate Admission (if you've visited us before, you may recognize the windows in the background) and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (ChBE).

homecoming mural XCclose.jpg
Here's a close-up of the XC team's mural; I particularly like the multi-colored running shorts. (Warning: this mural treats the opponents better than most.)
-
homecoming mural bball.jpg
Those 'ballers are pretty competIITive for an out-of-season sport's team, if you ask me....(BTW, this building is home to the Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering.)
-
homecoming mural E1.jpg
A brief anatomical lesson disguised as a broad claim to dominance and glory on the side of Engineering 1 (home to the Departments of Mechanical, Materials, and Aerospace Engineering, as well as Biomedical Engineering and Applied Mathematics).

homecoming mural E1close.jpg
I like the work being done with words, here ("spirIIT"; "IIT" instead of "IT"), and the depiction of the archtypal annoying fan (they got the posture just right). What do you think is being spiced on the plate to the right?

homecoming mural med.jpg
All we can hope here is that the fallen opponents get to the hospital before anyone has a law-suit on their hands. The Life Sciences Building (evident) is home to the Department of Biological, Chemical and Physical Sciences, and to the Institute of Psychology.

homecoming mural med2.jpg
The Honors Medical Society has provided us with a lovely mural, for sure, but without answering everyone's favorite age-old question: where do birds place the ear pieces of their stethoscopes?!

homecoming mural XCinside.jpg
Back home at Perlstein Hall, it's apparent that these murals brighten campus up from the outside and the inside. Just grab a seat in one of Mies' Barcelona chairs and enjoy the view!!
